Changing your child’s Status

Your child’s maximum monthly disability benefit consists of two components, a basic needs amount and a shelter allowance totaling their monthly benefit. By changing your child’s status from room and board to a tenant the monthly disability benefit will increase.

To get started, all you need to do is to sign and date the documents listed below and forward them to your child’s disability office. To help increase your child’s benefit as fast as possible please sign and date the documents and forward them today!

If you receive a monthly employment or “Changes Report” attached to your child’s monthly statement, check or write in “Change of Status” to “Renting“.
